Is there anything going on in good ole Alabama this summer?

    omeguy888,

I whole heartedly agree with what filmkid had to say.  However, I do have an answer to your original question regarding why it's ok for a screenplay like Slumdog Millionaire to have so much body language when you have been advised not to do it.  Slumdog Millionaire was written by Simon Beaufoy, a produced writer (remember The Full Monty?) who adapted the movie from Vikas Swarup's book "Q & A".  If someone is already paying you because they like what you have written and produced in the past, they are more likely to accept breaks in the "rules".  When you are unproduced and writing a spec, you have to play by the rules or no one will get past the rules you break.  It's just as simple as that.
