We spent the weekend in Astoria Queens, in the new stage facility of IATSE Local 52, where they joined with Local 600 for their annual Lighting & Digital Workflow Symposium. In addition to meeting and showing our equipment to both working professionals & students, we got to sit in on great Lighting demos by Bill Wages, Roberto Schaefer, Caleb Deschanel, and Frank DeMarco. Bill Wages showed some very inventive techniques combining large balloons and theatrical leko's to light quickly in location interiors.
