Question for filmmakers and their approach to the internet

  • By Filmmakershelp.com

The future is changing in the way we deliver and receive media.
If a filmmaker is smart about how he or she markets them selves there is a lot of opportunity, even in the small sites. I could give example, The truth is a website is no different than your local video store better really, are any retail store if their pushing your product/film it’s more than fare to give up 50%
Really there are a lot’s of options. There is one obvious way to me if your going to be an Indy filmmaker looking to self distribute.
Build a website with all the option from DVD sales to high quality pay/per/view streaming video. Then put a trailer on every site out there that you can load video to.
For those sites small or large that want to sale your film for 50% do it, as long as they don’t want some exclusive distribution contract, and all you have to do is load your film.
They do all the work to market and sale your film wow! No brainier. What if your film became a big hit on a small site that provided a nitch market?
That made your film stand out. Unlike Amazon we’re your competing with a lot of other films. Are we as filmmakers?
Going to be fare to them and give them a piece of the pie
    And credit for our success?
