                        THE SAME

   1.INT. COFFEE SHOP – DAY  1.

   

  RICHARD (43, big belly, beard, glasses, white shirt, jersey, blue trousers and formal shoes) sits down in a table of the coffee shop and opens his laptop.

  
  

  WAITRESS (22, blonde, beautiful, uniform)stands next to him. RICHARD is concentrated on his computer, he does not notice her presence, she keeps in silence until he sees her, he looks surprised, she laughs.

   

                      WAITRESS

                      The same?

   

                      RICHARD

                  Yes, the same. Thanks.

   

  WAITRESS goes back to coffee shop’s kitchen. WOMAN (61, attractive, red long hair, black beatle, jeans, high heels) enters to the coffee shop and sits in a table in front of the table where RICHARD is sitting. She looks at him. He does not pay attention to her. WAITRESS comes with a big mug of coffee and cream for Richard, and then she approaches to WOMAN.

   

                      WAITRESS

                    What do you want?

   

                       WOMAN

                  (indicating RICHARD)

              The same that he is drinking.

   

                      WAITRESS

                     Oki, doki.

   

  RICHARD looks at WOMAN. She smiles to him. He proves to be indifferent and keeps on with his work. WOMAN observes him. WAITRESS comes with WOMAN’S coffee. RICHARD distract himself from the laptop and sees when the WAITRESS delivers the mug with coffee to WOMAN. He looks at his own mug, then he looks WOMAN’S face.

  
  

  Always smiling WOMAN looks at him fixedly. RICHARD smiles and goes back to his work. WOMAN drinks the coffee, but never stops looking at him. Every time RICHARD distracts himself there she is looking at him and he nervously drinks of his mug and goes back to the laptop.

  
  

  RICHARD moves his neck to relax himself with his eyes shut, when he opens them WOMAN is smiling at him and raises her mug as a greeting. He coughs and begins to write again in his computer.

  
  

  WOMAN begins to hum a lullaby. WOMAN’S sound distracts RICHARD and he makes mistakes on the text, he exhales deeply, looks at her, she is still smiling and humming.

  
  

  RICHARD drinks coffee, moves his feet, crosses his legs, opens and closes mechanically the file where he is working in the computer. He looks at her with an angry expression, WOMAN’S smile reflects calmness and her humming becomes louder.

  
  

  RICHARD does not finish his coffee, closes his laptop, puts over the table the money for the bill and walks fast out the coffee shop. WOMAN also leaves her coffee and puts over the table the money for the bill.

   

  CUT TO:

   

  2. EXT. STREET - DAY    2.

   

  RICHARD is walking with the computer under his arm, he looks back to the coffee shop and notices that WOMAN is walking behind him smiling. He walks faster, she accelerates her steps. He looks backwards and there she is.

  RICHARD begins to run, she does the same always smiling, he is tired, instead she looks fresh and in peace.

  
  

  RICHARD runs until he gets to a corner with a semaphore in a red light. He breathes with difficulty. WOMAN gets to him. She touchs RICHARD’S shoulder. RICHARD is standing in front of her, face to face. WOMAN is smiling.

   

                           WOMAN

                            Son.

   

   

                            END.
