A music supervisor is someone who coordinates, directs and arranges music and visual media for a production. Their main job is mainly to choose music and facilitate the administrative work that goes into licensing and clearing music for legal use in film, broadcast and new media projects. Music supervisors are an essential part of my work because they are how I find placement for music like, She’s Not Loving Me.
Recently, I have taken part in Darren Rowse’s 31 Day Challenge. The 31 Day Challenge is a project that involves teaching lessons and tasks to improve a blogger’s writing technique and marketing strategy. On day #2 of the challenge Darren asked us to put together a list-post for our blogs. I came up with a list that was not only interesting but also useful for me as a music producer and a blogger. A number of these music supervisors are bloggers as well. So it makes sense to reach out and include them in my blogging community.
