Job Title:
Community Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Community Assistant, your main job is to make friends and chat with people on studentfilmmakers.com. You’ll say hello to new people and talk to others to get them involved in Discussions (the little forum inside each Group). You’ll also invite people to our online Webinars. Your schedule can be flexible, but you’ll mostly work Monday to Friday, unless you want extra time off during the week (if this is the case, you can also work during the weekends).
Responsibilities:
- Say hi to new members and make them feel welcome on the website.
- Talk to people and invite them to join group Discussions so they can talk about filmmaking, or they can share the projects that they are working on. Some new members also need guidance to find the right place to post their content.
- Invite members to join our online webinars by sending messages and adding them as friends.
- Attend our online filmmaking webinars and meetings during the week and take part in discussions.
- Help the Community Marketing Director and Editor in Chief by making designs for our online webinars using Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
- Post some of our events on social media or on our other websites.
- Our main focus is on studentfilmmakers, com, but we also need to take care of the Filmmakers Network ( https://networking.studentfilmmakers.com/ ), our original forums ( https://www.studentfilmmakersforums.com/ ) and nurture the expansion of our HD Pro Network ( https://hdpronetwork.com/ ).
- We hold contests and we’ll need your help spreading the word to other filmmakers (and photographers) so they know they can join in too.
- Should you come across any SPAM posts that mislead our members or direct them to unsafe websites or practices, please inform me immediately.
- Should you encounter any bugs or glitches on our website, kindly notify me at your earliest convenience.
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule to balance work and personal life.
- Opportunities to learn and connect with people in the filmmaking world.
- Being part of a nice and friendly group of people who love filmmaking.
- Opportunities for career advancement and higher compensation as you continue to work with us.
Location:
Remote (Open to applicants from any country)
Application Process:
To apply, please submit:
- A resume highlighting your relevant experience (if any).
- A cover letter introducing yourself, explaining your interest in filmmaking, and why you would be a great fit for this role.
Note:
Occasionally, there might be family events or unforeseen circumstances in your personal life, and we completely understand if you’re unable to attend for valid reasons. However, we do require these reasons to be significant.
