Taught by Rona Edwards & Monika Skerbelis authors of the critically acclaimed book, "I Liked It, Didn't Love It: Screenplay Development from the Inside Out."
We work in Hollywood every day. And today’s world of feature films is more complex than ever. In this course, we’ll walk you through the development steps. We’ll share what really happens when you submit your screenplay or material. You’ll learn about the players at the studios, production companies and agencies. We’ll teach you the importance of loglines, coverage, development notes, and talent lists. At the end of the course you'll have the resources you’ll need to become a successful development executive, producer, writer or director.
"Screenplay Development from the Inside Out" will begin its online workshop on October 27. the cost for this 5-week workshop is $300 and will cover such topics as:
* The steps a screenplay or novel goes through when it is submitted to a studio or production company
* Who the players are that sell, submit and greenlight your material
* Why the logline is crucially important for sparking interest
* How agents and managers work
This course is a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of today’s Hollywood from industry pros. During the course you’ll have one-on-one online interface with both of us. We'll offer feedback on all your assignments and best of all you can ask us anything you want about the business and we'll do our best to answer.
