You'll receive a full range of powerful HDSLR filmmaking concepts and tools that can benefit any HDSLR production - whether you're shooting a documentary or narrative, television spot or music video. The intensive, continuing education workshop will give you an overview of the HDSLR models, in camera settings, lighting, lens options and sound recording, how to work around their current shortcomings and take the necessary steps to maximize DSLR performance. Includes Day 2 Special Focus on Location Sound Recording with HDSLRs with Live Shooting Demos.

Location Sound Recording with HDSLRs: Audio is often misunderstood with DSLRs. We'll explore three popular methods of recording audio with your DSLR. The shoe-mounted shotgun mic, XLR adaptors and double system. With each of these methods you can use professional wired and wireless microphones to achieve the same great audio that you've been recording on cameras before the DSLR. Each method will be fully set up so you can see how it's done allowing you to participate and take notes. If audio has been holding you back, this is the first step towards taking back the control of your videos.
