2nd Annual 48-Hour Film Challenge
What can YOU do in just 48 hours?
New York, NY (November 4 2013) - WINTER FILM AWARDS, an Independent Film Festival organization in NYC, challenges the local community to create a short film from start to finish in just a single weekend in an exciting and fast-paced environment with crazy rules that make for an awesome and sleep-deprived team experience!
The 2013 WFA 48-Hour Film Challenge gets under way on Friday December 6 at 8pm. A representative from each team must come to our offices at 12 DesBrosses Street, New York NY 10013 between 8pm and midnight to register. Teams will be provided with a Film Genre, Tag-Line and Prop which must be used in a 4-7-minute film to be completed by Sunday December 8 at 8pm. Entries may be shot either via traditional filmmaking equipment or teams can do the whole thing on smartphones. There is no fee to participate in the challenge, but teams must pre-register.
On Saturday December 14, the best entries will be screened, followed by an Award Ceremony, awesome prizes and networking party. Over $7k in prizes will be awarded for BEST PICTURE and FAN FAVORITE. Prizes generously provided by B&H Photo, Ride of Fame, IndieFlix, Zacuto, Jungle Software, West Side Rifle & Pistol Range, NY Action Actors Academy, Indoor Extreme Sports, Pole Position Raceway, DSC Labs and Trapeze School NY! Winning films to be screened at the 2014 Winter Film Awards Independent Film Festival and on our National Sponsor's website!

WINTER FILM AWARDS mission is to recognize excellence and diversity in cinema and to promote learning and expression for all artists at all stages of their careers.
