The Future of Media and Entertainment Unveiled at NAB Show
AI, Sports, Streaming, Cloud Virtualization and the Creator Economy Take Center Stage

The 2025 NAB Show, taking place April 5-9 (Exhibits 6-9) at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is where the future of broadcast, media and entertainment takes center stage. As the industry navigates rapid innovation, this year’s event will highlight five major forces shaping its evolution: artificial intelligence (AI), the creator economy, streaming, cloud virtualization and sports. With cutting-edge tech on display and an expanded lineup of immersive sessions, hands-on experiences and thought-provoking discussions, NAB Show remains the premier destination for professionals looking to stay ahead of the curve.

“NAB Show has led the charge in innovation for media and entertainment, and this year is no exception,” said Karen Chupka, executive vice president and managing director, NAB Global Connections and Events.

    Sports Summit

A notable addition this year is the three-day Sports Summit, running April 6-8. Discussions will explore the tech and trends transforming the fan experience and driving new revenue streams, including innovations in live sports production, media rights negotiations and the impact of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels on sports broadcasting.  Gotham Chopra, the award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of “Religion of Sports,” is set to deliver a compelling keynote titled PEAK HUMAN: Unleashing the Champion Within where he will delve into the deep cultural impact of sports narratives and the mythic pursuit of Human Potential.

“Live sports are captivating audiences in unprecedented ways and unlocking fresh revenue opportunities for the media and entertainment industries,” said Chupka. “The Summit coupled with trailblazing companies on the exhibit floor are reshaping the way that fans are engaging and experiencing sports.”

NAB Show will feature big brands in the sports arena including AWS, ARRI, Avid Technology, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Ross Video, Sony and Verizon Business.

     Creator Economy

The creator economy, now valued at over $191 billion, is another focal point of NAB Show. With tens of millions of professional content creators worldwide, NAB Show examines how these individuals are redefining storytelling, financing projects independently and building substantial online audiences. The Main Stage will feature Forbes Top Creator Dhar Mann in The Power of Positivity: Building the World's Largest Digital Scripted Studio - Dhar Mann Studios, highlighting the shifting paradigms in content creation and distribution. The Creator Lab, powered in partnership with Blackmagic Design, builds on its 2024 debut with more hands-on learning and education from top thought leaders on topics including AI as a Creative Partner, Winning the Algorithm War, and the Power of Authenticity

    Business of Entertainment

In partnership with The Ankler, NAB Show introduces the Business of Entertainment track — a two-day program offering insider perspectives on significant industry shifts. Topics include media dealmaking, content bundling, new advertising models and the convergence of Hollywood with the creator economy. Attendees can expect sharp analysis and candid conversations addressing the evolving dynamics of audience engagement and revenue generation in the entertainment sector.

This track features WWE president Nick Khan and chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who will discuss the company's continuing evolution—from global expansion and talent development to innovative storytelling and the integration of new technologies

With an agenda packed with cutting-edge insights and expert perspectives, the 2025 NAB Show is set to be an essential gathering for media and entertainment professionals. AI at the 2025 NAB Show: Shaping the Future of Storytelling

From enhancing storytelling to personalizing viewer experiences, combating disinformation and streamlining production to increasing revenue opportunities, it’s no surprise artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have become indispensable tools for business leaders and creators – from content creation to consumption. In fact, the global AI media and entertainment market is projected to exceed $104.4 billion by 2030, according to Straits Research. The 2025 NAB Show, April 5-9 (Exhibits 6-9) in Las Vegas is at the forefront of this revolution and provides media professionals unparalleled access to the latest AI-driven tools, insights and innovations needed to stay ahead in this evolving landscape.

“AI is transforming media and entertainment, unlocking new ways to tell stories, engage audiences and streamline production,” said Karen Chupka, executive vice president and managing director, NAB Global Connections and Events. “At NAB Show, we’re bringing together emerging tech and visionary creators to explore AI's ability to enhance storytelling.”

NAB Show offers hands on learning with the expanded AI Track at Post|Production World dives deeper into AI-driven advancements in content generation, editing and storytelling. Additionally, attendees will receive specialized hands-on training using leading tools, including Descript, Runway, Premiere Pro and Firefly. Other trainings include the AI Broadcast TV Workshop, AI VFX & Motion Workshop and AI Video Editing Workshop to help industry professionals integrate AI seamlessly into their workflows and push the boundaries of creative storytelling.

As AI transforms media and entertainment, it also raises pressing concerns around ethics, governance and competitive impact. Important conversations include Safeguarding IP in the Era of AI: From Deepfakes to Digital Deception, where Dan Neely, CEO of Vermillio and one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in AI, will explore how creators and studios can protect their IP while leveraging AI. DeepSeek and the New Reality: Progress or Pandora’s Box will examine the commoditization of AI models and the need for media companies to focus on differentiation, ethics and governance. These discussions will help industry professionals navigate AI’s risks while harnessing its potential.

Beyond training and education, NAB Show is the premiere global marketplace for cutting-edge technologies. The AI Innovation Pavilion serves as a central hub for the latest advancements in tech, while the lounge, sponsored by AWS, fosters connections and collaboration among industry leaders. Emerging startups exhibiting in PropelME and speaking on the Startup Stage, will showcase how they are leveraging AI to transform the broadcast, media, and entertainment industry. Produced in partnership with FBRC.ai, the space is designed to connect emerging innovators with industry leaders, shaping the future of content creation, distribution and monetization.

As the media industry continues to evolve, NAB Show remains the ultimate destination for professionals seeking to understand and leverage AI’s transformative power. Whether through hands-on training, thought leadership sessions or the latest innovations on display, NAB Show is ensuring that the future of storytelling is driven by intelligence, creativity and technological advancement.
