Dear Colleagues.
I would not be ironic and cynical. As a composer who tries to spread its work over the internet wonder how to get the right people who are looking for music for their films, cartoons, documentaries, commercials and video games. Does anyone have experience with it. I'm in the last five years composing only one feature film, for which I was paid by the director from another continent that I have never met. I admit that I have not invested too much time in promoting myself. I have a myspace and personal website and that's all. I heard that the producers, directors and scouts and other people from the film world visit MySpace and similar sites looking for music for their films. I'd love to hear your opinions on this subject.
Greeting

you admit not promoting yourself. i think that says it. the internet works as a promotion tool and it works to get work by getting the word out about what you want to do, what you are doing and what you have done.
