Calling all Filmmakers WORLDWIDE

  • March 22, 2015 2:31 AM PDT

    Calling all filmmakers,

To Trend on Twitter is a short film following a mother’s rise to fame for having a terminally ill son. It is a sharp satire exploring society’s growing addiction to our virtual lives, the cult of modern celebrity and, at it’s heart, a mother’s grief.

To make this humbly-sized project with large intentions as bold and big as possible we want to really sell the idea of the lead character Susie's fame. To do this we need your help.

We want to film 'fans' going crazy for Susie outside big gig venues, stadiums and celeb haunts all over the world. We're looking to capture the fans' fever, in short snappy scenes. If you have a smart phone with 4K video and a bunch of willing friends please reply and get involved!

Anybody helping will be able to receive a copy of the film and have a 'LA Unit Crew' or 'Tokyo Unit Crew' (or whatever the country/city and role) credit on IMDB.

    Cities/Countries of particular interest:

    -Tokyo

    -South Africa

    -Africa

    -Russia

    -India

    -Paris

    -Middle East

    -Scandinavia

    -Rio De Janiero

    -L.A.

    -Rome

    -Miami

    -NYC

    -Berlin/Munich

    -Sydney

    -Canada

This project is not for profit, it's being made for charity, everyone who has contributed so far has been credited for their time and energy as their donation to bring awareness to a great cause. We will donate any proceeds to CLIC Sargent, Make a wish foundation and Starlight.

This is very interesting. There was a mom that got all this attention for her plight in dealing with a termonaly ill son and it turned out she was killing him for attention. Not sure how much time she got or what happened with that but it is a true story that would make a great film.
