I have a TV Pilot at Amazon Studios that's currently being evaluated.

It's accessible from this page: https://studios.amazon.com/series?page=27&series_type=drama&sort=title_asc

Start-Up Mafia, Episode 1, Initial Public offering. It's strictly adult and wickedly violent. It's also written in a non-linear fashion.

SERIES: Guided by a mysterious mentor, a diverse group of morally and ethically corrupt friends use an odd mixture of compassion and remorseless violence to transform from strip joint employees into an organized crime family and challenge for criminal control of Marshall City.

EPISODE LOGLINE: A dispute between management and a small time dope dealer gets personal and quickly escalates into extortion, murder, and mayhem when a group of strip joint employees decide to settle things by violently taking over ownership of the Paradise Room Gentlemen’s Club.

    Any luck with Amazon Studios?

    Stan, nothing yet.

It's still being evaluated, so that at least means the initial reader probably recommended it by now (whatever that's worth!).

They're getting tens of thousands of submissions so honestly I'd expect not less than 6 months and probably more like a year to pass before hearing from them. The only thing I can really tell is if they take it out of consideration.

I figure it's worth a shot because submission to Amazon in no way implies any contract whatsoever, so I can still try to sell it elsewhere.

Putting together a Film Noir story, sketching out characters, and locations. watching a lot of old Noir films. Youtube has many many! Love the use of shadows and high contrast in the photography. The dialogue is really something else. Double Indemnity and D.O.A. are two of my favorites.
