Evelyn is a young girl in the 1950's, on the verge of womanhood. Confined to her country home with her brother and devoutly religious father for as long as she can remember, Evelyn hungers to know life in the mysterious places beyond the woods. That is, until the day a stranger arrives, forcing Evelyn to question the world she lives in, the people she loves, and the true story of the woman she sees only in dreams. Join Evelyn in her struggle with the search for self and truth in a 'world filled with liars.'
Winner of the awards for Best Cinematography (Jared Myers), Best Actress (Cameron MacKenzie), and Best Director (Chance Cole) at the Spring 2012 MSUM Juried Film competition and Best Editor (Chance Cole) at the 2012 St. Cloud Film Festival.
This was my final project for my Intermediate Film Making class, in the Spring of 2012. Filmed entirely on 16mm with an Arrilex BL camera in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
