Thanks for the quick response. I was just watching your video. Great job. The project is still in the infant stage. I am looking around to form a team. The entire cast and crew will be new and shooting will be in Bangalore. However, please dont get excited about it as this may take some time. The movie will be 90 to 105 minutes in length, will have no songs or romance and will be a thriller.
The only issue will be the main set that may or may not be available readily and may have to be put up (indoor shooting). This can escalate the budget which is at the moment estimated to be within INR 1 million.

As for the anamorphic format I think it is possible to convert.
I have posted a couple of them in vimeo with 1280x720 resolution. However the raw shots are all taken in 1920x1280 24p. Do watch the videos in full mode. Here is the link
Regarding the advantages the gretatest one is the ability to use some of the greatest Canon/Nikon DSLR lenses to shoot, and the ability to get some good narrow DOF with them.
Regarding disadvantages, the greatest one that I have felt is the jello effect. And then noise in very low light conditions. But the latter is no more a problem with 5d mk2 or 1d mk4(if u can afford )
