Alfred Spatchstock and DW Blunt are two Forgotten Lancashire heroes who between them established the studios of 20th Century Spatchstock in Hollinwood, Oldham. The studios were renowned for their fast throughput and some estimates suggest they made over 20,000 films - sadly, many are now lost or destroyed.
Spatchstock 2012 is a festival to honour their work, and to mark the publication of The Lost Films of 20th Century Spatchcock (edited by Derek J Ripley) in November 2012.
We invite submissions of short (maximum 2 minutes) excerpts or trailers based on any of the 300 synopses of lost fims that have already been submitted to our project.
Closing date 31 October 2012. Prize of $150 for best film. More details at http://tripemarketingboard.co.uk/spatchstock.php />
