You made this post one year ago. I am wondering, what will you work on in 2023?
Hey Harry, thank you for thinking of me! I really hope that I have a chance to edit my first feature film this year. I've been in contact with a few people that have productions but nothing has materialized as of yet.
My last project of 2022, I worked with an amazing director from the UK named Matt Taylor. His short film is called Tealight - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15096506/To date, Tealight has won eight awards. I'm really proud of this project because Matt is really passionate about his work, and the film really shows his creativity.
If you want to watch it, you can see it here. - https://youtu.be/Zazu6m8qkJM
I also wrote a blog post about us working together - https://thefilmcut.com/the-edit/the-edit-working-on-tealight-a-short-story-by-matt-taylor/
Hope everyone is doing great!
Eight Awards is a great line to add to your Resume. I knew from the initial post that you are doing a great job and I was hoping that you will get some recognition for it.
You need a solid portfolio. You also need to write a good application letter. Grammar is very important. Try to write a draft and improve it as much as you can.
I think every year, there are different questions. I also think that the interview process is different for everyone.
